With Karaoke Mixer you can mix two different sounds to one MP3 file. Generaly we use it for mixing karaoke background song (mid, kar, mp3 or ogg format) with previously recorded voice (wav format). So it can be great tool for all of those who wants to make real versions of songs with own vocals and burn it to CD.
To start mixing we need two different sound sources and the name for output file. When we run Karaoke Mixer we shall see at least one main window. In this window we select our sources and output file.
Output file will be recorded to MP3 format. But first we must select correct pathname for the file using browse button on the right from OUTPUT field. |
Karaoke backround source file we must find with browse button on the right of MIDI/MP3 field. It can be *mid, *kar, *mp3 or *ogg file.
If you previously recorded voice for selected karaoke background with Lyrics4You and it is stored in default VOICE directory next VOCAL field will be filled automatically. But if you moved a file with recorded voice somewhere else or you want to choose a file recorded with other software you will have to use browse button on the right to find it on you hard disk.
Let's start mixing
When you've already have correct pathnames for source files and output file you can start mixing.
All you have to do is to push START button. Now you should hear both sources playing and recording synchronized. |

You can stop mixing anytime and start with same or new sources again.

If you find that recorded vocie starts to fast or is delayed to karaoke background you can stop recording and adjust synchronization with SYNC slider and start recordeing again.
Lyrics4You and some other software let you change backround sound TONE. If you recorded voice over such sound you can also do the same thing in Karaoke Mixer with TONE slider.

It is possible that after mixing you will get empty MP3. But there is still a chance to fix it. Use a button represented as a question mark ? in main mixer window. New window will be opened. Then press Audio settings TAB. From the list of mixing devices supported by the sound card choose the one that is real mixing device. Then select checkbox "Force mixing", close the window and try mixing again.

Different sound cards have different settings and names for devices. Feel free to experiment with all unless you find the one that is able to mix sounds.
In the same window you can set your own device for playing midi files. From the list you can choose one of devices supported by your sound card. In many cases default setting for midi device is not the one that sounds best.
