I'm trying to install Lyrics4You but I get an error of some .dll files missing. Where can I find those files?
Lyrics4You requires several .dll files to be installed in your system. Most of them are supplied and automatically registered during installation process. But you may still need to register Visual Basic Runtime libraries. You can download it here. Run downloaded file and wait to the end of registration process. I need to reinstall my Windows system. What files should I backup to preserve all the information?
If you saved any songs (audio files) or lyrics files (.lrs) within Lyrics4You directory and you want to preserve them you should copy all those files to another directory before uninstallation process.
How can I completely uninstall Lyrics4You from my computer?
There are two ways of uninstalling Lyrics4You from your computer. You can go to L4Y main directory and run uninstall.exe or go to your Panel Control and use Add/Remove function. Uninstallation process will remove all L4y files, directories and libraries from your computer. It will also clear all L4Y keys in your windows registry.
I saved karaoke lyrics within audio file. Is it still possible to play such file with other players?
Yes, it is possible to play such files with every player that supports special file type. But of course you want be able to see or extract lyrics lines that you saved with Lyrics4You. I want to remove lyrics from audio file but I cannot find such function in Lyrics4You. How can I do that?
Here you can download LyricsRemover and simply select a file from which you want to remove lyrics tags. Before removing you can save lyrics as a separate .lrs file. I synchronised lyrics with song, but the result in karaoke window seems to be totally miscalculated. Can I do something with it?
Probably the reason is incorrect time calculation of audio file. It happens mostly with MP3 files encoded with variable bitrate. You can save such file with constant vibrate in Winamp for example and it should fix the problem. We try to solve that in next version of L4Y. When I switch karaoke window to Fullscreen mode I cannot see anything. What am I doing wrong?
In properties window (General) check whether you choose correct monitor for Fullscreeen display. Default is monitor no 1. If you still are not able to see karaoke screen use the function RESET POSITION from the same properties (General) window. It will move and resize your karaoke window to default position - the same you saw running L4Y for the very first time.
I assigned transition effects for karaoke slides but it works very slow. Do you have any ideas how to make it faster?
Speed and smoothness of transition effects mainly depends on your hardware performance. So fast proccessor and video card is highly recommended. Also remember to close all other programs and kill all unnecessary processes from your computer's memory.
